A Presidential Pardon on Thanksgiving

President Obama is joined by his daughter’s Sasha and Malia, along with National Turkey Federation Chairman Richard Huisinga as he pardons ‘Liberty’, a 19-week old, 45-pound turkey at the White House on November 23rd.  The annual Presidential pardon of a turkey dates back to the Harry Truman administration.  Here at Presidential Watch Company, we’re thankful that Liberty found his freedom that day and also that President Obama choose to wear his Jorg Gray 6500 Series Chronograph for the occasion.

President’s 6500 Still Going Strong

U.S. President Barack Obama prominently wore his Jorg Gray 6500 Series Chronograph as he greeted supporters at the University of Colorado Denver campus on October 26, 2011 in Denver, Colorado. The President launched a new plan to lower the cost of paying back student loans. The plan, to be implemented by executive order, will allow former university students to cap their loan payments at 10 percent of their discretionary income starting in 2012. It would also forgive the balance of student loans after 20 years of payments.

President Obama Announces the End of Bin Laden

President Obama announced last night that following years of investigative work performed at his direction and a military operation he authorized, U.S. soldiers descended on a secure compound near Islamabad, Pakistan and killed Osama Bin Laden.  No Americans were harmed in the operation and Bin Laden’s body is in U.S. custody.  From the team at Presidential Watch Company, and with all due respect to polite journalism; Congratulations President Obama – We finally got the SOB!

A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties. Easter Eggs, Basketball and Story Time

Continuing a 133 year-old tradition, this past weekend President Obama and his family hosted Washington’s annual Easter Party where colored eggs are rolled down the White House lawn.  Over 30,000 people attended the event, which also included basketball pick-up games, a tennis skills competition and a reading of Easter classic “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” by First Lady Michelle Obama.  Over at Presidential Watch Company, our Easter surprise was to see that President Obama choose to wear his Jorg Gray 6500 Series Chronograph to the event.  We hope you enjoy some of our favorite photos from the outing.

Obama and Australian Prime Minister Gillard Visit U.S. History Students

During March 2011, new Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard visited with President Obama during her first trip to the United States as Prime Minister.  On March 7th, President Obama and Prime Minister Gillard met with U.S. History AP high school students in Arlington, VA to discuss the U.S.’s history of cooperation with Australia.  We at Presidential Watch Company were proud that President Obama choose to wear his 6500 Series Chronograph for this important diplomatic and educational outing.

Obama Signs DADT Repeal Legislation

On December 21, 2010, President Obama signed the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” Repeal Act of 2010, ending the military’s 18-year policy of banning military service by openly gay and lesbian service members. Among those who attended the signing ceremony were Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Senator Mark Udal, Congressman Jared Pollis, and Congressman Barney Frank.
